Yesterday was the season premiere of Chuck (2nd Season) and Sarah kicked ass once again! I couldn’t find a better photo or video of it so please excuse these screen captures I took myself. Believe me, the actual scenes would’ve been so much better.

Also last night, Chuck and Sarah had their first real date. Chuck’s secret agent asset days may soon be over as they’ve found a way to preserve the intersect and won’t be needing Chuck. He would soon get his life back, thus got the courage to ask Sarah out.

During the date Chuck showered her with compliments, she didn’t even bring a gun and it looked like a regular date between a guy and a girl. They almost kissed. But their date was ruined by a team of bad guys who wanted something from Chuck. Seems he isn’t safe still. So much for normalcy.

I don’t wanna speculate if she is or she isn’t pregnant. That seems to be the question fans and followers of Desperate Housewives are asking these days. And everytime, Eva Langoria and her husband, Tony Parker, keep denying she is.

When paparazzi photos of her surfaced showing she gained a few pounds, these rumors have been unstoppable. Especially when she showed up at the Emmy’s with an Empire-cut dress (as pictured) that seems to be hiding the “baby bump”.

Her co-stars on Desperate Housewives says she purposely gained weight for her role, Gabriella, who will be faced with a lot of stress and pressure this season as an overworked wife. And the couple have said that if they were indeed pregnant, it’s not something they will hide from the public.

I say, all these pregnancy buzz and the explanation for it? This is just a ploy to get people talking about Desperate Housewives again. The show premiered last Sunday, to good ratings if I may add. And since that’s done…let’s see if the pregnancy buzz stops after this.

Returning for its third season last Thursday, we found a new and improved Ugly Betty who has made it her mission to get her life in order. To start with, she let go of any romantic entanglements she has by saying no to a marriage proposal by Henry and by turning down Gio’s invite to go to Rome with him.

Betty is going to be good to herself this year. To do all that, she comes up with this idea binder with all of her plans, dreams and aspirations, color coded and categorized according to what fits.

She returns to work and discovers everything has changed. But because she aspires to make better of her situation, Betty embraced all this and in the end earned the respect of her”idiot” colleagues. She also moved out of the family house and bought herself an apartment in New York , using all of her savings. It wasn’t her dream apartment, but Betty is making the most of it.

I am liking this new Ugly Betty a lot. I was prepared to skip the season and just watch it on DVD later, but you know what? I think I’m tuning in weekly again.

Breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate will be Oprah’s guest on Tuesday, Sept 30. Her appearance on  the said show will feature the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

We’ll be watching these two gorgeous ladies on television real soon.

Actually, with Anne Hathaway, it’s real sooner as she has been tapped to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on the 4th of October. Anne Hathaway will be promoting her latest movie, Rachel Is Getting Married. I think this is the first time she’s hosting the sketch comedy show. Can she pull it off?

Meanwhile, Sarah Michelle Gellar, who had quite a cult following when she starred on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is set to return to television via HBO. The actress, who has been missing from the small screen since Buffy was canceled in the early 2000’s, will star in The Wonderful Malady, a half-hour program, where she plays one of three siblings who lose their parents. The series is schedule to air next year.

Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty are returning for a new season tonight and Lipstick Jungle premiered yesterday. How interested are you?

My interest has dialed down to be quite honest. Four seasons of Meredith Grey’s incessant whining, plus the off-camera clashes, takes a toll, no? But I’m still watching the show tonight, mostly out of habit. Grey’s writers promises to spring back from the disaster they have created in past seasons, so… fingers crossed.

Ugly Betty isn’t also warming up my interest one bit. Especially with news of Gio and Henry actually leaving the show. But this new guy for Betty may just bring the spark back. I can’t pass on this show just yet because the people I really would love to see are Amanda and Marc…and to some extent, Betty’s sister Hilda.

Lipstick Jungle returned last night to lower ratings than its season finale last spring. But with the show falling on the right footing story-wise…I think that it will be staying for a while. I enjoyed the season premiere by the way. Nico’s husband died. And then she finds out he was having an affair for years now and has sired a child. She has the juiciest storyline but I like Wendy’s and Victory’s story equally, too.

Which Chick TV are you watching, girl?

The movie version of Sex and the City is already released on video. It comes in a single disc, double disc and blu ray disc edition.

The double disc version contains additional 12 minutes of scenes previously not in the movie during its theater run. Plus there’s a host of extras, including a fashion show with the girls from the said movie/TV series.

I have not grabbed my own copy (I had spent it on a BluRay copy of Pushing Daisies and a few other TV DVDs) but you can read a review of the video’s content over here .

Speaking of Sex and the City, Michael Patrick King, the show’s creator, has recently announced the sequel is most likely possible … and he’s once again eyeing a summer showcase.

Can you imagine Lisa Kudrow playing a “nutty shrink”? I think she would be hilarious!

Lexus, yes the car brand, has tapped the former Friend star for an online series called “Web Therapy”. The premise of the show has Lisa playing a psychotherapist who conducts therapy session via the Internet with her clients. Each episode will comprise some three minutes and will have Lisa (playing Fiona Wallice) juggling five different clients at a time. The webisodes will total 15 and will have guests like Rashida Jones and Jane Lynch.

Lisa also wrote and produced “Web Therapy” along with  Dan Bucatinsky.

You may wonder what a car company is doing with this. It’s probably the latest technique in marketing…which means that should you watch Lisa’s new venture, you’re gonna have to expect a lot of Lexus ads on it.

The webisodes will appear on Lexus’ LStudio.com. After “Web Therapy”, “Puppy Love”, penned by Sex and the City writer Amy B. Harris, will debut on the site and a few other celebrity line-ups are expected to be produced.
