Oprah welcomes Team USA in her season opener
One of the reasons why Oprah’s talkshow is losing viewers these days is because she has stopped becoming relevant or rather, the show itself has stopped tackling relevant issues. But maybe that is going to change as her show is going to welcome another season with 176 guests. Oprah has invited all of Team USA’s 176 Olympic champions, including the legendary Michael Phelps.
They will all appear on Oprah’s new fall season premiere, slated to air this month.
The episode has already been pre-taped at Chicago’s Millenium Park, with all the athletes marching amidst a rain of red, white and blue confettis and a crowd widely cheering for them.
Oprah told her guests this: “I speak for millions of Americans when I say, Team USA, you made us stand taller.”
In the audience was Mayor Daley and Marland Easter who is spearheading the campaign to bringing Olympics to Chicago in 2016.
