SNL loses Amy Poehler by November
Amy Poehler has announced she is leaving SNL after the November elections. She’s going on maternity leave, but after that, she has no plans of returning to her show. But while this news is expected, learning of it still leaves me with sadness.
What would SNL be without her? And who is going to impersonate Hillary now? She’s probably the last most recognizable cast to me after Tina Fey (who left the show two seasons ago if I’m not mistaken).
Amy though won’t be permanently gone from television. She’s set to star in a new sitcom and will come back to NBC. The new sitcom has the writers of The Office working with her, which I expect should be another golden comedy, no less.
