I was having so much fun with this show. I didn’t particularly like the Bella character per se (which was played by Elizabeth Reeser) but I loved the supporting cast and the story isn’t all that bad either.
But it had not been performing well, its ratings down to 5.3 Million with 1.5Million in the demo. It was the weakest on Friday nights. And that’s not good for CBS, since that means the show isn’t bringing the money in where it should. Coupled with the fact that it’s showrunner left the series in the middle of it all because of conflicts with what she wants vs. what the network wants, The Ex-List was not heading to a good place.
This makes the Ex-List the first 60minute scripted series to be canceled this season. But it is only the fourth one so far, along with Do Not Disturb, Hole in the Wall and Opportunity Knocks.

Is cancellation nearing for Lipstick Jungle? It’s not the best written series right now, but for my viewing pleasure, I think the show can thrive for a couple more seasons.
Lipstick Jungle will air its final Wednesday episode tonight. And then by Friday, the show is moving to the time slot Life occupies, essentially switching with that series. The move doesn’t show too much confidence for the show because everyone thinks Friday Nights are death slots.
Lipstick Jungle’s ratings haven’t been improving. Last week alone, it went down from 5Million to 4.3 Million, which means the network is losing money.
The show is about three women who balances success and failures in their work and personal relationships. It is based on the book by Candice Bushnell, the same author of Sex and The City.

Oh no. Not again. I heard of this rumor last month and thought it wasn’t going to happen. But then…here it is!

After 90210, Melrose Place is the next project CW intends to remake. If you remember, this was Beverly Hills 90210’s trashier cousin. It featured a group of twentysomethings trying to survive the crazy town of Los Angeles.
I hardly remember the series anymore. I know it had the usual catfights, sex and blackmails. Maybe even murder. But I think it was one of the first series back in the 90’s bold enough to cover racism, HIV and gay relationships in their storylines extensively.
Entertainment Weekly reports the idea has been brought about the same time CW was thinking of doing 90210. But the remake may not have anything to do with Darren Star, Melrose’s Place creator.
Whose career is going to get a reboot from this series? I’m missing that girl with the short hair, who was she again?

Can you see yourself watching Sarah Palin host her own show on television when this vice-presidential bid doesn’t work out for her?

I am asking because analyst say Sarah Palin is the type of character TV executives need. She can do a lot for viewership, whether people are watching her because they love her or they dislike her.
According to this story which ran on The Hollywood Reporter:
“Any television person who sees the numbers when she appears on anything would say Sarah Palin would be great. The passion she has on each side, love and hate, makes television people say, ‘Wow, imagine the viewership. “
Sarah Palin’s most recent TV appearances on Saturday Night Live and on CBS Evening News has boosted these shows’ ratings tremendously that it some might grab the chance and capitalize on her and offer her a talk show or a cable news program.
How about a spot on The View? Or a program to compete with Ellen’s?
Would you watch Sarah Palin every morning if this happens?

Appropriately, the comedian from Saturday Night Live has given birth to a healthy baby boy on a Saturday. You can almost imagine her SNL friends say “Live From New York — Amy Poehler and her baby!”. In fact, while Saturday Night Live was airing, Amy’s co-anchor on the Weekend Update announced to the audience that Amy was having her baby at that moment. The crowd cheered.
The baby, whom Amy and her husband actor Will Arnett will call as Archie, weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz.
The 37 year old Amy isn’t going to return as regular on Saturday Night Live after her maternity leave. But she will still be returning to television as the star of her new comedy series for NBC. Her new show, which remains untitled to this day, will be set for a mid-season airing early next year.

Quite hot at the moment are these girls from High School Musical, Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, especially since its third installment is now running in theaters. The first two parts of the series were originally TV movie exclusives. But because of its huge success, Disney thought to release Part 3 in theaters. Right now, it’s doing very well at the box office. And of course its female stars are ecstatic about it.
Earlier this week, the the two made the talk show rounds to promote the movie and to speak of their current projects, including their romantic attachments.
Here’s Ashley on The Mike and Juliet Show as she speaks of auditioning for HSM as well as her romantic life:
And then here’s Vanessa Hudgens on Ellen DeGeneres teaching Ellen to Waltz and talking about her famous BF, Zac Efron:
The girls have indeed grown up!

Have you been following the drama on The View? The one with the women ganging up on Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving her really upset about it? Reports via TMZ also say the drama even extended backstage with Joy allegedly confronting Elisabeth. Both denied the incident happened.
I don’t follow The View a lot but these women have been going at it the last couple of weeks. Election does that to people, which is partly why I don’t want to watch when they are butting heads about it. I’m one of those who just don’t care about politics.
Anyway, what is your opinion of Elisabeth? Is she feisty or does she deserve pity? I mean, to be working in an environment where you’re aware some people are hostile towards you…how can you stand to go to work everyday? But on the other hand, she also has every right to stand for what she believes in…and the show seems like a good platform to do so.
If you were in her shoes, would you quit The View?

Election came early for the girls at ZBZ on Greek and the result was least unexpected. The candidate who didn’t even have herself nominated won it!
Ashleigh is ZBZ’s incoming President now. She won over her best friend and her best friend’s mortal enemy. The girls of the sorority had enough of the two candidates bickering, so they chose neither. And as one of them said — they went for someone with a fresh, albeit naive, viewpoint.
Ashleigh (played by Amber Stevens) is by no means a smart choice. But I’m glad the writers have given her a bigger part like this for the next episodes on Greek. Her character was beginning to become one-dimensional and this n ew role is going to make Ashleigh’s stories a lot more colorful.
Greek ends its second season run next week. It has so far been a fun watch, as always. And with this latest development, I’m excited to see what’s in store for Ashleigh in Season 3.

It finally happened… or at least in House’s mind it did. He never saw it but the thought that something happened between his lesbian protege, Dr. Hadley, and another woman, was enough to send him to his happy place. They did show a two minute scene of it for the viewers to understand that Dr. Hadley is into women. House knew that way before everyone did.
Anyway, Dr. Hadley was embarrassingly forced in a situation where she had to keep her private life open for her boss and colleagues to scrutinize. Because when your sex partner collapses at your place and you bring her to the hospital, your place of work… that’s what happens.
I won’t go into a full recap. You can find a good one here.
But what I want to get into is the character of Thirteen or Dr. Hadley. Most viewers are not loving her. Many aren’t interested with her storyline. I, on the other hand, thought that she was the most interesting, most fascinating character from the cast’s recent additions. I have been waiting for a Thirteen-centric episode. But then the reunion at work with House and Wilson was more fun to watch . So when House fired her last night, I was sort of relieved she’s going. Because finally, viewers can stop complaining about how lousy this season is with her there. Only, House re-hired her. Yep, Thirteen isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. Maybe we’re going to watch her die later (Thirteen is afflicted with a terminal disease).

Former Sopranos star Jamie Lynn Sigler is set to appear in one episode of How I Met Your Mother. The report comes from EW’s Ausiello. Jamie Lynn will portray one of Lily’s friends, but she has a reputation for being a party girl.
It’s so easy to speculate she will be Mother, now that Stella and Ted are no longer together. Stella is played by actress, Sarah Chalke and this week on the show, her character decided not to marry Ted and ended up with an old flame.Which leaves Ted free to date other women. But then again, most available women guesting on this show is speculated as Mother. It does get tiring eventually.
Anyway…Jamie Lynn has also recently appeared on Entourage as guests.
