NBC Cancels Lipstick Jungle

Published by Rachel at 8:17 am under Primetime Drama Edit This

Because it has not been performing at the ratings, NBC has deemed it better to cancel the sophomore series Lipstick Jungle. Moving from Wednesday nights to Friday nights three weeks ago already marked a kiss of death for this women-centric series.

There are five episode left to it, but there are no indications as to whether NBC will air these or not.

Lipstick Jungle

Lipstick Jungle stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price. It is about three independent New York women who juggle between career and relationships. It also stars Andrew McCarthy.

The series is from Sex and The City writer Candace Bushnell. Last season, it went up against Cashmere Mafia, a women show with a similar premise and is also produced by Sex and the City’s Darren Star. But Lipstick Jungle outlasted it for one season.

I was a viewer of Lipstick Jungle and yes, I’m pretty bummed I lost one series that’s catered for me now.
