Gossip Girl Shifts Back To The 80’s
I keep hearing about possible spin-offs for Gossip Girl but not one of it ever materialized. The other day though, the producers of the show have finally confirmed it. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have announced they were doing a spin-off to the the series, and a shift back in time.
The spin-off will not star Jenny (which was the rumor) but Lily Van Der Woodsen. As a teenager. Yes the spin-off will take place some twenty years ago! And it’s funny because The CW, where Gossip Girl airs, is taking shows from the 80’s to remake. This time, their stepping back up. 80’s fashion and music will definitely be alive again as the creators intend to do a backdoor pilot to this on Gossip Girl’s May 11 episode.
Now I don’t watch the series, but the spin-off is like a call to my generation. So…psyched.
